Erika Kirk, widow of slain conservative commentator Charlie Kirk, delivered her first public address on Friday (September 12) following her husband's death. Speaking from her husband's studio, she vowed to continue his political activism through Turning Point USA, the organization he founded.
Charlie Kirk was shot and killed on Wednesday while speaking at Utah Valley University during the first stop of Turning Point USA's "The American Comeback Tour." The event was described as a "political assassination," and Utah Governor Spencer Cox announced the arrest of Tyler Robinson, the suspect in the shooting.
In her address, Erika Kirk expressed her determination to keep her husband's movement alive. "The cries of this widow will echo around the world like a battle cry," she said, emphasizing that Charlie Kirk's mission of patriotism and faith will only grow stronger. She also thanked first responders, investigators, and President Donald Trump for their support.
