On 9/11, Brady Williams and Jared Bentley ran on the football field carrying flags — a thin blue line flag in support of police and a thin red line flag in support of firefighters.
Brady was holding the Thin Blue Line flag as he rushed on to the field. His father is a police officer, and he says he wanted to honor all the cops who lost their lives trying to save others on 9/11.
Jarad carried the Thin Red Line flag. His father is a firefighter.
The boys defied school orders and carried the flags on the field. They were both suspended.
That suspension was lifted about public outrage.
Last night, Brady and Jared were at President Trump’s rally in Swanton, Ohio.
They say they had no idea that the president was going to bring them up on stage.
Trump told them, “you know what? You're doing great. And everybody out here loves you and appreciates you...So Jared and Brady, thank you for supporting the heroes in our law enforcement. And thank your parents for letting you do it."
