Sen. Rand Paul says White House health adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci should "voluntarily remove himself" from national TV over his constant “fear-mongering”.
He says Fauci is now ignoring the growing number of people with immunity from COVID through already having it or through vaccinations.
"Now immunity doesn’t have to be perfect to be protective. It could be that possibly someone who’s had Covid like myself could they be reinfected — there are very small numbers of it. But guess what, almost none of them are really getting sick. You’re not — you’re reading stories of, ‘Oh, my goodness, thousands of people have been reinfected and they’re hospitalized and they’re dying,’ those stories don’t exist. You will read about a random very rare person getting reinfected or getting infected when they have been vaccinated. But the good news is, is that even if you’ve got infected from Covid after you’ve been vaccinated you have some immunity, a partial immunity, and it lessen the degree or significance of the disease. Almost everything out there is good news. This is why I so much think Dr. Fauci should be voluntarily removed from TV because what he says is such a disservice and such fear-mongering, and almost all of what he says isn’t even matched by the science of his own institute. So really what we need to hear from a lot of different experts. And then people need to realize that the risk factors are different depending on your age.”
Fauci is still pushing for lockdowns particularly in Michigan where cases have spiked.
“there is no scientific evidence that the lockdowns in Michigan have done anything, or in California. In fact, the daily incidents of the disease in the last two months has been about almost one and a half times greater in California than it has been in Florida. The death rate is lower in Florida. So there is no real correlation between economic lockdowns, mask mandates, or any of this...It is television malpractice for these TV doctors to come on and say the mask is so much more important than the vaccine. It's so much more of an immediate benefit. No, it is not. Most of the people who are getting the disease have been wearing masks."
